i forgot to put the right amount, and it screwed up my perfect score on my physics homework. damn significant figures. why are you even important? why cant people just round? i mean in the question before you asked me to make up some bullshit numbers to see if i could guess how many piano tuners there are in new york city. no numbers given, no statistics, just ready? GO! and BAM i had to guess, and give an explanation as to what numbers I used to get to my answer and how i got there. so thats alright to ask, but i cant get a little bit of slack on significant figures?
